Музыкально-педагогический институт им. Гнесиных (класс Арама Хачатуряна). Автор
музыки более чем к 50-ти фильмам. Назову только самые известные:
«Бумбараш»(1971), «Гонщики»(1972),«Красавец-мужчина»(1978),«Зимняя
вишня»(1985),«Вор»(1997). И конечно супер-телесериал «Приключения Шерлока Холмса
и доктора Ватсона»(1979-1986). Сериал создавался на протяжении 8 лет, и, все эти
годы писалась музыка к нему. В итоге общий «саундтрек» сериала составил более 12
часов музыки, записанной разными оркестрами, в разное время, в разных местах. В
советское время полноценных, коммерческих музыкальных дорожек к фильмам не
выпускали, в лучшем случае можно было нарваться на пластинку типа «Мелодии
советского кино» в невнятной комплектации. А первые годы после распада СССР
прошли с ощущением, что ничего старого не захочется, на свалку все. Страсти
улеглись, а ценности – остались. Одна из них сериал о Холмсе с его изумительной
музыкой. Когда предприимчивые люди поняли, что ностальгия уже у дверей и это
можно продать, они обратились к В.Дашкевичу с предложением издать музыку к
сериалу. Композитору идея очень понравилась, он даже ее развил - предложил
сделать киносимфонию на основе этой музыки. Партнеры несколько дней провели в
архивах ЛЕНФИЛЬМА, буквально раскапывали эту музыку, в итоге из 12 часов выбрали
60 минут. И в 1997 на «Шок рекордс» родился предлагаемый диск. Это действительно
не просто саундтрек, а именно киносимфония. В этом есть и плюсы и минусы. Честно
говоря, хотелось бы иметь и другой вариант, где все темы не были бы объединены в
части. Но, в конце концов, это теперь можно сделать самостоятельно… На диске
5(пять) музыкальных частей, состоящих из 42(сорока двух) тем, в любой момент по
вашему хотению перенесут вас в мир интриг и лихо закрученных сюжетов, будут
держать вас в напряжении, подводя к кульминации, минуют ее и заново окунут в

Jenkins was unaware of the word's meaning
